Templates are fixed in position, and are a good choice for headers, subnavigation, and other functionality where the position does not change from design to design. To add a template to a design, you simply drag it onto the Editor canvas. Changes you make to a template automatically propagate everywhere its used in a project.
Using templates involves the following tasks:
• | Converting Components to a Template – Select components in the Editor canvas and convert them to a new template. |
• | Opening a Template – Open a template for editing. |
• | Detaching from Template – Break the connection between a template and a design. |
• | Removing a Template – Remove a template from a design. |
• | Creating a Template Offset – Define a horizontal and vertical offset that’s applied to a design when the template is added. |
• | Nesting Templates – Add a template to another template. |
