ProtoShare stacks components as they are added to the design. The stacking order is given by the order in which components are added, with the most recently added component on top.

The component on the top of the stack appears on top of (overlays) other components in the design. An exception is the navigation component, which always displays drop-downs and fly-outs on top so they are not obscured. A component’s z-index setting also can override its normal stacking order.

• To move a component forward or backward, right-click it and select Bring Forward, Send Backward, Bring to Front or Send to Back from the context menu.

These actions are also available in the Layout menu.

Alternatively, you can move components backward and forward by dragging them up and down (respectively) in the Component Outline.
