Plain Text Editing

Plain text is edited right on the canvas, by double-clicking a component.

When editing plain text, a border appears around the component, indicating that the text is editable. When you are finished, hit the Return or Enter key, or click anywhere else on the canvas to save your changes. If you make a mistake, hitting the Escape key will discard your changes.

You can change the font, color and other styles for plain text using the Appearance section of the Inspector. These settings apply to all of the text in a component.

Plain text typically contains a single paragraph of text. To insert a line break and start a new paragraph, hold the Shift key while hitting Enter.

Note: To make it easier to see your text, the Inspector and Palette windows are automatically hidden while you edit text. They reappear automatically when you are finished.
